The Centre for Rheumatology is situated at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, London and is a major referral centre for connective tissue diseases and especially Scleroderma and Raynaud's Phenomenon. We offer ongoing Out-patient and In-patient care.

The Department is headed by Professor Carol Black, who is a leading authority in Scleroderma and connective tissue diseases. Other senior consultants include Dr Chris Denton, Dr Huw Beynon, Dr Richard Stratton and Dr Geraldine Brough. The Centre also has four Specialist Nurses - Sisters Helen Wilson, Rachel Vincent, Claire Elliott and Leo Gonzalez. Vascular Studies are provided by Mr Kevin Howell; Jan Wroblewicz runs a specialised Back Pain Clinic; and Kim Fligelstone, who is addition to clinical administration, offers telephone support to patients as Kim also suffers from scleroderma. We have our own Specialist Pharmacist - Ms Helen Atkinson.

The Centre for Rheumatology works with Collaborators in other specialities, both within the Royal Free and at other hospitals, in order to provide overall care of patients.
